Through the 1970's, 80's, and 90's the main logo for the Alabama Crimson Tide was the classic vintage elephant going through the block A. This Alabama logo was used for many years. This Bama logo was on everything Alabama. In the early 2000's the main logo was changed. It was changed to the big elephant head with Alabama underneath the elephant. This logo was not very popular so it was then change to the circle script A logo.
I don't know if there has every been a poll taken of what the favorite Alabama logo is among Alabama fans, but I think I can safely say that the vintage logo used from the early 70's until the early 2000's would be the easy favorite. This logo is still used some today, but the circle Script A logo or just the Script A logo is the logo that is used mostly these days. Personally, I would love for The University of Alabama to go back to the vintage logo, but by limiting its use, it does give it a vintage retro look when it is used.
One of the favorite items I remember with the vintage Alabama logo on it, is the classic Coke bottle with Bear Bryant on it. The bottle was a commemorative 10oz glass bottle of Coke. It was to commemorate Bear Bryant's 315 college football wins. At the top neck of the bottle was the vintage Alabama logo. Growing up as a kid, I can remember seeing the bottle in just about an Alabama fan's house. My family had one displayed in our house and my grandparents had one.
